Direct and coordinate the commercial operation of a construction project to achieve profit or project targets.

  • lndependant commercial management of a major construction site in South Australia
  • Handling all commercial and administrative tasks of the project
  • Preparing financial statements (balance sheets, loss and profit statements)
  • Cost controll, preparation of variances analysis
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts and other financial transactions
  • Preparing official reports on a monthly and annual basis
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers as well as, verification
    of invoices of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Cost accounting
  • Supervising financial assistants and salary department
  • Supporting the processing of insurance claims
  • Supervising commercial day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll
  • Liaise with trade unions to ensure control of site personnel and resolve minor industrial disputes, referring threatened or
    impending industrial action to the General Manager
  • Ensure optimum utilisation of personnel and equipment at each site, and the security of material and equipment


  • Advanced degree in accounting, business finance, or related flied
  • Several years of experience in commercial management of overseas projects 
  • Mangement experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of  STRABAG/Züblin business principles and practises
  • Experience in managing consortium, join venture and
    various subcontracts
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Commercial acumen
  • Understanding of customer/client needs
  • Understanding of data privicy standards
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Analytical skills, organisational and planning skills
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Hands-on working style, problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and motivational skills as well as communication skills
  • Able to work in a team
