STRABAG is actively seeking a Finance and Administration Manager (m/w/d) for the Tunnelling Division IT in London where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. Main purpose of this role is the overall responsibility for developing and leading finance and administration process improvement initiatives. Under the direction of the Commercial Director, the Finance & Administration Manager will be a vital member of the Shared Service Centre and will manage the financial & payroll team to achieve company financial goals, as well as oversee the administration task in order to provide an excellent service to the operative units. Ihre Aufgaben

Governance / Compliance / Processes

  • Develop, maintain and observe standard financial and administrative policy and procedures
  • Be the point of contact for all internal and external financial compliance audit matters
  • Observe that activities are being conducted in accordance with the governance framework, company policies and procedures
  • Continually seek to improve the status quo of business processes, focusing on issue areas.Aim to achieve efficient and effective processes leading to cost minimisation

Accounting and Finance

  • Lead the Accounting & Finance team in order to ensure compliance to accounting principles
  • Oversee project accounting - in regards of compliance
  • Oversee Month Closing and Year End bookings and coordinate with Corporate Consolidation Departments
  • Administration of Banking Mandates and Payment approval
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax remittances
  • Provide training and guidance to your teams
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of Labour & Staff payrolls
  • Supervise and manage payroll processing
  • Ensure compliant tax legislation activities are completed in accordance with UK Legislation


  • Oversee the administration of the Branch office
  • Oversee travel bookings and its compliance
  • Oversee Expatriate administration
  • Oversee IT Help Desk administration


  • Work in the spirit of the company’s core values, contributing to best practice
  • Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you
  • Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirements

Ihre Voraussetzungen


  • Finance Qualification / relevant experience
  • Advanced skills in MS office
  • Experience of working in a large business environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Staff management experience
  • Operational support experience
  • Ability to deal with confidential tasks in a professional manner


  • Degree in Business Administration / Accounting
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills
  • Experience of business change projects
  • Understanding of UK legislation including - Tax / CIS / IR35 / VAT and UK Banking processing
  • Internal audit experience
