Job Summary: Under the direction of the Project Manager/
Project Controls Manager it is the Cost Control Engineers responsibility to
commence all costing and budget forecasting tasks for major civil construction
projects. Liaison between construction field Manager and Project Management as well as attending progress meetings with the
project team and other parties. Prepare monthly cost forecast for Management
and understand the impact and changes triggered from construction schedule and
construction cost in forecasting. Work closely with Schedule Engineer on
progress and forecast activities.

Management team with cost analysis to decide on selection of
Subcontractor and Supplier work packages
all cost relevant aspects of self-performed construction activities
of technical drawings and interpretation of costing and time aspects
construction planning and execution process of large infrastructure
Inc., to all associated with the project by demonstrating professional
skill and high standard of fairness and integrity
site updates and prepare periodic progress reports
budget forecast updates for management
interpretation of project schedules
review work done on site
departments as directed by the Project Director/Project Controls Manager
Project Manager in promoting communication throughout the team
other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Familiar with local codes and regulations
Strong working knowledge MS office
Working knowledge of Engineering change control processes and quality standards
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Scheduling software skills would be an asset (Primavera, TILOS)
Estimation software skills would be preferred (iTWO, HCSS)
Ability to meet deadlines and strong follow up skills
Strong communication and reporting skills
University Engineering degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil Construction
Minimum 5 years in lead position as a Project Engineer, Contracts Administrator, Estimator, Field Engineer or Construction Manager
Experience in Tunneling as asset
